What grind size and brew method should I use?

All our coffees work great with any brew method. Having said that, certain brew methods are better are highlighting particular flavour characteristics than others. So if you're keen to maximise the potential of each coffee, here's a general guideline you can follow:

Method Grind Best suited to
Espresso Fine Darker roasts, any flavour
Moka Pot Fine–medium Chocolatey, nutty, darker roasts
Pour Over / V60 Medium Fruity, bright notes - a clean, highlighted cup
French Press Coarse Chocolatey, nutty, fuller body -  try Brazil Cerrado or Urbanite Blend
Cold Brew Coarse

Fruity for a refreshing cold cup (try Ethiopia Yirgacheffe); chocolatey/nutty like Urbanite or Intrepid if you take milk

Tip: steep at room temperature (not the fridge) for 16–24 hours at a 1:6–1:10 coffee-to-water ratio, then dilute or add ice to taste — steeping warm gives better extraction, and you can chill it after.

Aeropress Fine–medium Versatile, works well with any of our coffees

Want the full step-by-step for your method - grind amount, water temperature, pour technique, and timing? Check out our brew guides on the Blog, we've got a dedicated walkthrough where we really geek it out.
